There’s this little kiosk in Old Town Nice that makes simple Sicilian sandwiches, just three or four ingredients tucked into homemade focaccia. Hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten.
The kiosk is right across from the beach, so the whole experience is just perfect.
One standout is the truffle sandwich: stracciatella, mortadella, truffle sauce, and arugula. Simple, but absolutely amazing.

Since when did Bart Simpson start making sandwiches?

Oh my god this is a dream scenario.

I had the maybe best pasta of my life in Nice as well. Primo Amore by Pappagallo, if you fancy.

  4. Nice is nice. My dinner there was often a 375mL of Chardonnay and a bag of roast chicken potato chips.

That’s interesting, because one of the best sandwiches I have ever had was in Toulon.
